Rutgers University has lifted the suspension of the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter but has placed the group on probation until next December. The SJP had demanded that the university divest from what they describe as 'Israeli settler colonialism.' The decision to lift the suspension follows incidents involving masked members of the SJP issuing demands at the university. Despite the reinstatement, there is criticism from some quarters that the university is suppressing the voices of Palestinian students.
