This week at @NoLayingUp, I wrote about the Inexplicable Survival of Jay Monahan, and how he was (according to two sources) asked to resign in December. He’s still here, which says something about him and also something about a divided group of players. https://t.co/OgSbJlI5r6

McIlroy looking ahead to golf uniting and not back to chaos of last Summer when Tour flipped on joining forces with LIV: “I think some of the reaction to June 6 was warranted, but I think it’s eight months ago and we all need to move on. . . Try to bring the game back together.”
Ten months since the PGA Tour announced a framework agreement for a shocking partnership with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, a definitive deal still has yet to be reached. “Our negotiations are accelerating as we spend time together.”
Rory McIlroy says @PGATOUR commissioner Jay Monahan got justified pushback for last June flip on Saudi partnership, but applauds him for his overall body of work and making Tour better than before he took over. Important ally for the commish.
