Elizabeth Tsurkov, an Israeli-Russian researcher and Princeton PhD, was kidnapped in Iraq by Kataib Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed group. She was identified as an Israeli Mossad agent in a four-minute video where she gave a coerced confession of being a CIA and Mossad agent. She is suspected to be held by Muqtada al-Sadr’s movement. Her family is relieved she is alive after being paraded in a new hostage video.
