Google Chrome will distrust CA certificates from Entrust later this year, marking a significant shift in the digital certificate landscape. This decision, reported by @technacity, will impact Entrust_Corp's ability to sell certificates as major browsers will no longer trust them. Entrust, which manages many of the US Government's PKI CA systems, including those for the DOD, DHS, Energy, and State departments, faces challenges as it is removed from the Certificate Authority root.
Entrust just got kicked out of the Certificate Authority root. Not that it matters, Entrust runs a lot of the US Government's PKI CA systems. Poorly. It's almost as if the DOD / DHS / State / spooks don't actually want it to be run correctly!
