Jaishankar. Rubio emphasized the need for immediate de-escalation and expressed US support for direct dialogue between the two countries.

The White House has confirmed that Rubio is in constant communication with the leaders of both nations, trying to bring the conflict to an end. President Trump has expressed his desire to see the situation de-escalate as quickly as possible, acknowledging the long-standing tensions between India and Pakistan. Amidst the conflict, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been suspended indefinitely.
