A tragic bus accident in Jammu's Akhnoor area has claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 57 others. The incident occurred when a bus fell into a gorge near Vaishno Devi. In response, an administrative team has been dispatched, and a probe team has been formed to investigate the incident, as per directives from DM Archana Varma. Compensation for the victims has been announced by the government, and treatment for the injured is underway at GMC Jammu, according to Jammu DC Sachin Kumar. Additionally, six officials from the Jammu and Kashmir transport department have been suspended following the accident.
