This crackdown has drawn condemnation from civil society and Sikh diaspora groups. The arrests are related to alleged involvement in Operation Sindoor, with claims of spying for Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence. Pakistan's military used precision-guided Fatah series missiles, loitering killer drones, and precision long-range artillery during the tensions, targeting military sites in India and in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
