Nine people, including eight Rohingyas, died in landslides in separate Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, on Wednesday amid heavy rain. The local administration official reported that large chunks of mud collapsed on several houses in No 9 and 10 Rohingya camps around 6 am. The region, home to approximately 1.2 million displaced people, has been severely affected by the deluge of heavy rain, causing devastating floods and landslides. Two locals are also dead.
