The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made significant progress in the Bengaluru cafe blast case, identifying and charging suspects linked to the incident. Two suspects were spotted in Chennai in January, as per a special branch CID police team in Tamil Nadu, which reported to Bengaluru police. The main accused, identified as Mussavir Shazib from Shivamogga, had been living in Chennai's Vadapalani for the last 2 months with an accomplice wanted in a Tamil Nadu police murder case. The NIA traced these suspects after examining CCTV footage, revealing that terrorist Shajib placed an IED in the cafe. The agency has linked the main suspect to an IS module, with the Shivamogga ISIS module under investigation for its suspected involvement in the blast.
