The Ministry of Women and Child Development (@MinistryWCD) has launched a comprehensive initiative to enhance early childhood care and education (ECCE) in India. This includes the introduction of a National Curriculum for Early Childhood Care and Education for children aged three to six years, and a National Framework for Early Childhood Stimulation for children from birth to three years. The program aims to improve the quality of ECCE across the country. As part of the initiative, the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) will lead the training of Anganwadi functionaries. Additionally, in Ladakh, the ICDS Project Shargol successfully conducted a Poshan Pakhwada Drive in Panchayat Circle Pushkam A, with CDPO Shargole Madam Farida presiding over the event that saw active participation from 32 Anganwadi workers. Furthermore, in a unique intervention by ICDS Uttar Pradesh (@icds_up) with support from UNICEF (@UNICEFIndia), Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) are receiving training to teach pre-school children, marking a significant step towards empowering poverty-stricken communities through educational interventions.
