The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a 32-year-old engineer from Nashik city on charges of supporting and funding the Islamic State (ISIS). The individual has been booked under sections 39(1)(a) and 40(1)(b)(c) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had been in continuous communication with a foreign entity associated with ISIS and had sent money to the terrorist organization three times.
