Indian Government Faces Surge in Cyberattacks Amid India-Pakistan Conflict, Abhishek Singh Says NIC and MeitY Infrastructure Resilient

The Indian government has experienced a surge in cyberattacks over the past two weeks, coinciding with the recent conflict with Pakistan. Despite the increased threats, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) have maintained resilience in protecting critical government IT infrastructure. Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at MeitY, highlighted that the NIC serves as the backbone of government IT and that teams worked around the clock during the India-Pakistan conflict to safeguard essential systems.
