India recorded a current account surplus of $5.7 billion or 0.6% of GDP in the January-March quarter, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). For the fiscal year 2024 (FY24), the current account deficit (CAD) stood at $23.2 billion, which is 0.7% of GDP. This represents a significant decrease from the previous fiscal year's CAD of $67.0 billion.
