A boat tragedy in Vadodara, Gujarat, has led to a serious investigation after the boat capsized, reportedly due to being overloaded. Russy Wadia, a trustee of New Sunrise School, stated that the boat started without providing life jackets to all the students despite warnings from teachers. Relatives of the deceased children claimed that lifebuoys were not provided. Following the incident, an FIR was filed against 18 people, which led to the arrest of six individuals. Two names, Paresh Shah and Nilesh Jain, have been highlighted during the interrogation. Further investigations revealed that the boating contract had been sub-let to an inexperienced operator.
