In a series of high-profile drug and gold smuggling busts, authorities in India and Bolivia have made significant seizures. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Mumbai unit arrested four individuals, including two female passengers of Indonesian and Thai nationality, for smuggling 9.829 kgs of Cocaine with an estimated market value of 100 Crore rupees. Concurrently, Bolivian police conducted the country's second-largest drug bust by seizing over 7.2 tons of cocaine, valued at approximately $451 million, destined for Belgium. The cocaine was ingeniously disguised as scrap metal. Additionally, Mumbai Customs at the Airport Commissionerate seized over 3.02 Kg Gold, valued at 1.76 Crore rupees, along with 04 iPhones and foreign currency amounting to 118350 USD across eight different cases. Customs officials also confiscated a 240-gram gold chain, valued at Rs 16 lakh, from a female passenger flying in from Dubai on Spicejet Flight SG 14, which was hidden inside her sandals.
