Chennai-based startup Agnikul Cosmos has successfully launched its Agnibaan rocket, marking a significant milestone for the company. This achievement comes after four previous aborted attempts and follows a $50 million funding round from Mars Unicorn Fund. The successful launch has garnered praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has motivated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to support space tech startups and new-generation enterprises (NGEs), according to ISRO Chairman S Somanath. The startup is an initiative from IIT Madras.
