The Government of India has directed all school and higher education institutions to provide study material for every course in Indian languages digitally within the next three years. This initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aimed at universalizing education from pre-school to secondary level and promoting education in Indian languages. In line with this, two government schools in Silicon Valley are set to introduce Hindi as a world language in their curriculum, marking the first time Hindi will be offered as a world language in the region.
