Ahead of presenting the #ViksitBharatBudget for 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, accompanied by Ministers of State Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad and Pankaj Chaudhary, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, paid a visit to President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. In a significant departure from tradition, Sitharaman carried the #Budget2024 documents in a 'Made in India' tablet enclosed within a red cover emblazoned with the National Emblem, marking a move to a paperless format. This digital approach replaces the conventional briefcase or 'Bahi Khata' that was previously used to carry budget papers.
