In Mumbai, the Static Surveillance Squad of the Election Cell detained two individuals, including a Chartered Accountant and an Income Tax practitioner, with Rs 70.39 lakhs in cash from a car in Pantnagar of the Ghatkopar area. Concurrently, in the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha constituency, authorities confiscated Rs 10 lakh in cash from Kankavli and liquor valued at Rs 4 lakh from the Sawantwadi town. Tamil Nadu saw similar enforcement actions with a total of Rs 3.48 lakh in cash seized in Thoothukudi, Chatrapatti, and Otthakadi village in Madurai district in two separate cases, including Rs 1.49 lakh from a vehicle in Chatrapatti village earlier today.
