On May 31, the Delhi High Court expressed displeasure with a lawyer for filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to stop the media from reporting on the Swati Maliwal assault case, citing concerns over revealing the victim's identity. The court has also reserved its order on the maintainability of Bibhav Kumar's plea challenging his arrest in connection with the case. Swati Maliwal, an AAP MP, has publicly criticized Arvind Kejriwal for not supporting her and stated that she and her family are in trauma. Maliwal alleged that Bibhav Kumar assaulted her in the drawing room of Kejriwal's residence and that the party leadership victim-shamed her and deployed resources against her after she lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police. On June 1, the Delhi High Court reiterated its displeasure with the lawyer's PIL.
