Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has decided not to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the fourth time in connection with the excise policy case probe, dubbing the summons 'illegal and invalid' and attributing them to 'political vendetta'. Kejriwal will continue with his planned visit to Goa to oversee the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. AAP's Raghav Chadha and spokesperson @PKakkar_ have alleged that the repeated summonses are part of a political vendetta to prevent Kejriwal from campaigning before the Lok Sabha polls. The party asserts that despite two years of investigation, the ED has not recovered any evidence of wrongdoing. Meanwhile, the Rouse Avenue Court has taken cognizance of the Prosecution Complaint (Chargesheet) filed by the ED in the Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case, which includes allegations of money laundering in the purchase and sale of a Rs 36 crore property. The court has also asked for a fresh status report from the CBI in the case and extended the judicial custody of AAP leader Manish Sisodia and other accused persons till February 5. Additionally, AAP is holding talks on a Lok Sabha seat from Goa with INDIA bloc partners, and AAP leadership is in Goa to meet party workers.
