Metro services in Bengaluru were disrupted after a tree branch fell on the tracks near Trinity Station on the Purple Line. The incident, caused by intense thunderstorms with strong winds, led to the suspension of metro operations between Indiranagar and MG Road. Currently, trains are only operating between Indiranagar and Whitefield, and MG Road and Challaghatta, from 7:26 PM. Efforts are underway by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to clear the branch and resume normal operations. Additionally, water-logging was reported at 58 locations.
