In Andhra Pradesh, the government is considering acquiring an additional 30,000 acres of land around Amaravati to develop a mega city, including an international airport requiring about 5,000 acres. No final decision has been made, but the plan is part of ongoing infrastructure expansion in the region. At the national level, the Indian government has announced plans to undertake 50 airport development projects, including new airports and upgrades, over the next five years to strengthen the country's aviation ecosystem.
