Abhijit Mukherjee, the son of the late former President Pranab Mukherjee, has expressed his desire to rejoin the Congress party after a brief stint with the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Speaking in Delhi, he stated that he is ready to fulfill any responsibilities given to him by the Congress. Mukherjee mentioned that the issues which led him to leave Congress have now been resolved. He also noted that while he had certain expectations from TMC, the party deviated from those issues soon after his joining. Despite this, he acknowledged TMC's performance in Bengal. He also remarked that Mamata Banerjee is a mass leader whose words must be paid attention to.
