Thatcher Demko of the Vancouver Canucks has been gradually increasing his participation in practice sessions, with Rick Tocchet noting his significant improvement. Demko recently joined the team for morning skates, sitting on the bench in full gear and participating in drills. While not yet at 100%, his progress is seen as positive for the Canucks.
“There are certain drills, certain pushes you want him to do,” says Rick Tocchet of Thatcher Demko’s return to play progress. “Then you wait til the next day and see how he reacts. “Obviously him being on the ice and taking shots that’s a positive for us.” #Canucks
Thatcher Demko working in a more dynamic practice-type environment than what we’ve previously seen. Facing shots from Lafferty, Mikheyev and Karlsson, under the watchful eye of Vancouver goalie coach Ian Clark. #Canucks https://t.co/GBHVThUAoc

Thatcher Demko has joined the 20 #Canucks skaters at this “optional” morning skate and sitting on the bench in full gear. Looks like he’s set to participate in some capacity this morning. https://t.co/o7K2vSGHic

#Canucks update: Today marked third consecutive day Thatcher Demko took shots. He hasn’t been participant in practice yet and hasn’t quite ramped it up to 100%. No real urgency for Game 5, I don’t believe, but Rick Tocchet could have a fascinating choice. Silovs has been solid.
