The Vancouver Canucks concluded their road trip with a key Western Conference matchup against the Dallas Stars, seeking another win to follow up their shutout victory on November 4th. Vancouver started the game with an early 1-0 lead, but despite Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko's undefeated 7-0 record against Dallas, the Stars dominated the game. Dallas's goaltender Scott Wedgewood, who has a strong 7-1-2 record this season, helped keep the Stars in contention. The Stars' penalty kill was effective, and ultimately, the game went into overtime where the Stars prevailed with a goal from Duchene, handing the Canucks a 1-3 record in games beyond regulation this season.
with all their star power, a little surprising #Canucks are 1-3 in games beyond regulation. Other teams have stars, too
Would’ve been a big, cathartic #Canucks win, but in truth, the Stars controlled that game and were the better team through 64 minutes and 51 seconds. Still a tremendous road trip. And good to see that Vancouver’s old play possum vs. Pete DeBoer game plan still works.
Wedgewood stops a two-on-0.. Then Duchene scores. Stars win.
Stars PK has been critical in this one. 2.5 power plays for the Canucks and Vancouver doesn't have a shit on goal, let alone a goal.
Stars get a great chance. Demko save. Canucks score in transition. 1-0 Vancouver.
#Canucks vs Stars. Was a good one on November 4th. Should be another tonight. Here are your starters & scratches https://t.co/4xwgxiLh3W
#Canucks seeing Scott Wedgewood in goal tonight. May seem like a break. But Wedgewood is 7-1-2 this season. Guy delivers for the Stars. then again, #Canucks Demko 7-0 lifetime against Dallas and shut them out on November 4th
