Tristan Jarry was expected to start in goal for the Penguins but was a late scratch due to illness. Alex Nedeljkovic and Ludvig were also out. Jarry participated in warmups but did not play, leading to an emergency backup goalie being called in.

The Penguins say Jarry will not start tonight due to an illness. He was slated to. We will see if he is able to backup. He made it through warmups. Ludvig is also out due to illness. Poulin also surprisingly scratched. https://t.co/llqQ9UxHSN
Lined up and ready for hockey. Jarry and Ludvig are out due to illness. https://t.co/kojkY8nd5q
Jarry has been a full participant in warmups (as has Nedeljkovic), so we'll see who gets the start when the lineups are announced.
Interesting. Sullivan said Jarry would get the start in goal tonight, but Nedeljkovic was the first goalie on the ice for warmups.
Jarry starts in goal tonight. (As opposed to, say, on the No. 2 defense pairing or top power-play unit.)
Alex Nedeljkovic and Tristan Jarry are ready to go on the ice for the Penguins' game-day skate. Unfortunately for them, the ice still has to be resurfaced.
