Mikael Granlund of the San Jose Sharks suffered a scary injury to his right leg during a game against Bryan Rust. Despite initial concerns, Granlund returned to the ice after being assisted off with no weight on his leg. Observers were surprised by his quick return and resilience.
"I guess I got lucky there." Granlund didn't look any worse for the wear talking to us after his scary third period injury. Quinn couldn't believe he came back after seeing the play live & watching the replay: "Granny keeps going. He's like the Energizer bunny."
The broadcast showed Granlund walking back into the room, and it didn't look easy for him. If that is an ankle sprain they said don't take the skate off. Let's see what happens after the intermisison
