In a nail-biting match between the New York Rangers and the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Leafs managed to tie the game at 3-3 in the final seconds of regulation. Johnny Brodzinski's power-play goal had given the Rangers a 3-1 lead. The Rangers' Blake Wheeler scored twice, while Mika Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin also contributed to the Rangers' goals. The game marked the 700th point for Panarin and the 300th for Trouba. Goalkeepers Ilya Sorokin and Ilya Samsonov led the teams onto the ice. The Rangers' Adam Fox was particularly effective against the Matthews and Tavares' lines, with the Rangers out-chancing and out-shooting the Leafs in the second period.
