The Philadelphia Flyers had a tough loss against the Vegas Golden Knights, losing 3-2. The Flyers had a 2-1 lead going into the third period but couldn't hold on. Carter Hart made some impressive saves throughout the game. In their next game against the Minnesota Wild, the Flyers dominated and won 6-2. However, they suffered another loss against the Anaheim Ducks, losing 7-4. Despite the loss, the Flyers' Couturier-Tippett-Atkinson line had a strong performance. Carter Hart had a great third period in the game against the Carolina Hurricanes, keeping the Flyers tied 2-2. The Flyers ultimately lost 3-2.
Mason McTavish's shorty after a 5-on-3 was killed off and second goal of the game with 12.8 seconds left gives Ducks a 4-3 win over Penguins. Anaheim sweeps four-game road trip, first of that many games since 2013. Greg Cronin was ejected. Lukas Dostal (33 saves) was massive.
Final: Ducks 4, Penguins 3. Incredible effort by Lukáš Dostál and the Ducks’ penalty killers in the final minutes of the game. Adam Henrique intercepts a pass and springs Mason McTavish, who converts on a shorthanded breakaway. Ducks finish their road trip 4-0-0. #FlyTogether
Flyers lose by a 3-2 final score. Just an absolute clinic by Carolina over the final two minutes. Hart didn't even get to the bench until there were less than 10 seconds remaining. Strong overall effort by the Flyers, just came up short against a high-end opponent.
Flyers fall, 3-2.
Carter Hart brilliant in this third period, keeping Flyers tied 2-2.
#Flyers getting good chances early in third.
#Flyers had 0 shots on PP.
Carter Hart in net tonight for Flyers against Hurricanes.
This is fairly incredible considering the Flyers lost 7-4: The Couturier-Tippett-Atkinson line out-attempted the Ducks 21-0 and out-shot them 12-0 at five-on-five, per @NatStatTrick. Scoring chances were also 12-0
Ducks with a rousing 7-4 win over Flyers in a Philly matinee. Frank Vatrano with another hat trick. Adam Henrique and Trevor Zegras get their first of season. Waiver claim Brett Leason (2022) making a difference. Lukas Dostal with 27 saves.
After giving up just three goals through first three home games, Flyers give up seven today to Ducks. They lose, 7-4. They’re 4-3-1 overall.
Final: Ducks 7, Flyers 4. Goals from Strome, Vatrano (x3), Henrique, Zegras and Leason. 27 saves for Lukáš Dostál. Anaheim is 3-0-0 thus far on their four-game road trip. #FlyTogether
The Flyers are back down four, trailing 6-2 now. They had allowed just three goals over their first three home games. Ducks have doubled that total today.
Flyers down 4-2 after two period. To their credit, they've made this a game again. To their non-credit, they fell behind 4-0 first.
4-0, Ducks. 4 goals on 12 shots vs Ersson. #Flyers
Flyers trail the Ducks 2-0 at first intermission. Ryan Poehling sent the puck into the stands and Anaheim scored with about four seconds left on its power play to make it 2-0. Just not a clean period from Flyers and they paid for it.
Flyers rout Wild, 6-2. They’re 4-2-1 overall. They’re 3-0-0 at home and have outscored opponents 12-3.
Carter Hart is now 7th All-Time in Flyers history with 88 career victories as a Goaltender. He passed Pelle Lindbergh in this category. What a feat for the young 25-year-old netminder. Hart is the best thing that has come out of Philly since the Philly Cheesesteak #Flyers
The Flyers, yes the Flyers score an impressive victory against the Wild 6-2. I mean after a crazy travel road trip, this is impressive to be this dominate against the Wild. #Flyers
Flyers win by a 6-2 score. They let Minnesota get back in the game in the early portion of the third period, but great work from Cam Atkinson and Owen Tippett halted that run and let the Flyers cruise the rest of the way.
The Ducks were down 3-1 to the Bruins heading into the third period. Then they rallied back to win 4-3 thanks to Mason McTavish's winner. 🎥 @BallySportWest https://t.co/jDzJNczfRt
#NHLBruins blow a 3-1 lead in the final two minutes and lose to #FlyTogether 2:08 into OT for their first loss of the season. Rough loss for the Bruins but a pretty sweet win for Ducks HC, Arlington, MA native, and former Northeastern HC, Greg Cronin. @BOSHockeyNow
After scoring two goals in the final two minutes of regulation, the Ducks force overtime and earn the win against the Bruins. Primary helper to Leo Carlsson, who scored one of those clutch late goals. Mason McTavish with the winner. https://t.co/xKfXnCXeZH
Incredible comeback by Anaheim, who scored twice in the final 1:55 of the third to tie it up before Mason McTavish wins it in overtime. First goal as a Duck for Radko Gudas, first multi-point game of Leo Carlsson’s career. Bruins’ first loss of the season. #FlyTogether
Wild all over the Flyers here in third period. They've scored two goals in the opening 4:30 minutes of the period and it's now 3-2 Flyers.
#Flyers have a 3-0 lead over the sloppy Wild after two. #Flyers’ PP was 1 for 20 this season before Coots and Brink (assist to the ref) scored PPGs.
Flyers have a 3-0 lead on Wild at second intermission. They've played a real solid game through two periods and will try to close it out in third period.
Flyers up 3-0 after two periods -- their power play finally did something! They've outplayed Minnesota pretty much start to finish in this one.
Coooooooooooooots 2-0 Flyers
Carter Hart was phenomenal in the first period. He stopped a 3-on-0, and just great save after great save. #Flyers
#Flyers trying to go to 3-0 at home. They have outscored their first three visiting opponents, 7-1.
Flyers have a 1-0 lead on Wild at first intermission. Through seven periods at home this season, Flyers have given up just one goal.
Carter Hart starts tonight With a victory tonight. Hart will move into 7th All-Time in Flyers history with 88 career victories as a Goaltender. He is currently tied with Pelle Lindbergh in this category What a feat for the young 25-year-old netminder #Flyers
#Flyers Falter at End; Carter Hart, Cam York Hard on Themselves https://t.co/CgaBRI7kj3
Tough loss for the Flyers tonight, as they lose 3-2 to Vegas in regulation. This was a good road trip, it proved they can hang with the leagues best teams (Dallas and Vegas). #Flyers
Flyers stomach a tough loss. They were about 32 seconds away from getting at least a point in Vegas. They lose to defending champs, 3-2. Golden Knights are 7-0-0. Flyers drop to 3-2-1. No way Carter Hart could see that shot on Vegas' game-winning goal.
Flyers lose to the Golden Knights by a 3-2 final score. No shame losing to one of the league's best, and they certainly didn't embarrass themselves. But they still blew a 2-1 third period lead.
#Flyers fall, 3-2.
#Flyers have sat back too much in third period. 2-2 with 1:10 left.
The Flyers are playing well defensively, and Carter Hart is doing Hart things. They are also well coached, this is impressive what's happening here in Vegas being tied 2-2
The Flyers are playing the defending champs well. It's 2-2 late in the third, as Vegas just tied it. It's great waking up to see Carter Hart robbing people, and Noah Cates and Cam Atkinson with goals Man life is beautiful, and the Flyers are killing it #Flyers
Carter Hart making some really difficult saves here to keep Flyers ahead. Considering how Vegas has taken over a bit since the second period, he probably needs to make a few more.
#Flyers have a stunning 2-1 lead after two in Vegas. Shots: 20-15, Philly.
Flyers have played a very good game through two periods against the defending champs. They lead 2-1 at second intermission and have surrendered only 15 shots.
Flyers still leading 2-1 after two. Vegas came on over the final half of that period but can't break through. They'll start with 1:27 of power play time in the third after an ill-advised (and maybe a little bit of a soft call) slash by Tyson Foerster.
Carter Hart has been huge in the second period. #Flyers have a 2-1 lead.
Flyers take 2-1 lead into the dressing room, the difference right now being an awful Cam Atkinson goal allowed by Logan Thompson. Chance to go up 3-1 on the power play was squandered -- it's now just 1-for-19 on the season.
End of the first, 2-1 Flyers. Vegas was good early, but the Flyers pushed back and take the lead down the stretch. A couple of missed details have the Golden Knights down.
