Ottawa Senators to Forfeit First-Round Draft Pick in 2024, 2025, or 2026 for Role in Invalidated Evgenii Dadonov Trade

The Ottawa Senators will forfeit a first-round draft pick as a result of their role in the invalidated trade of Evgenii Dadonov. The NHL announced that the pick will be from either 2024, 2025, or 2026. The trade involved the Senators trading Dadonov to the Vegas Golden Knights in 2021, which then led to an invalidated trade between the Golden Knights and the Anaheim Ducks in March 2022.
