Edmonton Oilers coach Knoblauch is considering changes to the defense lineup for Game 4, with Philip Broberg likely to enter. Darnell Nurse faced criticism but didn't address his potential replacement. Broberg, McLeod, and Perry could replace Desharnais, Carrick, and Foegele for a speed upgrade.
GAME DAY - Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse, under heavy criticism for his performance so far in the playoffs, was very short with reporters on Wednesday when asked about potentially being replaced by Philip Broberg for Game 4: https://t.co/EAVJ028l6M
So three potential changes for tonight. Broberg, McLeod and Perry for Desharnais, Carrick and Foegele, based on morning skates and who stayed on the ice. Knoblauch hasn’t been afraid to make changes, this is a lot in one game. Speed upgrade on D and with 71 returning.
Foegele, Carrick and Desharnais all skating after practice. Looks like Broberg, McLeod and Perry all in, is my guess.
Darnell Nurse, who's been getting a ton of heat in Edmonton, just gave a few *very* brief answers (he was not asked about his own play) and then ended his scrum early with a quick, "Thanks, guys."
Knoblauch says he is also considering a change to his defense lineup for Game 4. He didn’t reference him by name, but Philip Broberg is a possibility to enter the lineup. #Oilers six defensemen have played all 15 playoff games so far. They’ve only tinkered with pairs so far.
