During a game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Columbus Blue Jackets, there were a few incidents that occurred. In the second period, Flyers player Travis Konecny made a reckless chop at Blue Jackets player Erik Gudbranson as they were heading to their respective benches. Gudbranson retaliated by roughing up Konecny in front of the Flyers bench, and both players received roughing penalties at 4:49 of the second period. Later in the second period, Flyers player Garnet Hathaway appeared to knee Blue Jackets player Zach Werenski along the end boards. The officials reviewed the play, and ultimately decided to only give Hathaway a two-minute penalty instead of a major penalty. Werenski's reaction and the way he left the ice indicated that the injury was significant. However, it has been reported that Werenski's injury is not believed to be long-term. According to Vincent, the head coach of the Blue Jackets, Werenski suffered a "charley horse," which is a quad contusion. This type of injury is not considered to be a long-term issue.

Refs review the play and take the major penalty away from Hathaway. Just two minutes. You can't help but feel for Zach Werenski. Just based on his reaction and the way he left the ice, it did not look good. #CBJ
