The Philadelphia Flyers, currently ranked as the 5th best team in the Eastern Conference with 64 points and the 10th overall in the league, have shown remarkable progress, highlighted by their 5-3 win against the Coyotes. Under exceptional coaching, the team has been praised for its resilience and competitive spirit. Sean Couturier, recently named captain following his recovery from back surgeries, is hailed as an ideal leader, recognized for his evolution into one of the league's top two-way centermen. The Flyers' leadership group also includes Konecny and Laughton, with Joel Farabee being considered for an 'A' if Laughton is traded. This collective leadership has been instrumental in the Flyers' ability to compete effectively and maintain their playoff position.
If Scott Laughton does indeed get moved at the trade deadline. I would think Joel Farabee would get the "A"in his place. He really is evolving into a leader himself, but Claude Giroux did say Farabee was Captain material before he was traded to Florida. #Flyers

The Flyers did this the right way. You're in the mix for the playoffs, so plans have changed. Probably the most respected guy in the room gets the C. And none of that rotating alternate captain BS that so many other teams do in order to not hurt other guys' feelings.
Coots (2): “Nothing is really going to change from me or my game and how I approach things. I love my teammates, how we have grown as a group and I want to make sure we keep going on the right path here.” #Flyers
Coots (1): “It’s such a great honor. It’s a really prestigious organization so this makes it even more special. This city is my home and I love it here.” #Flyers
Briere (2): “The adversity he has had to overcome has only strengthened his proven leadership. In this New Era of Orange with Dan Hilferty, Keith Jones and John Tortorella at the helm, we couldn’t be more proud to call him captain.” #Flyers
(1) Briere: “Sean Couturier is an ideal choice to be the next leader of the Philadelphia #Flyers. Sean was drafted here & has made Philadelphia his home. I have seen his development from a responsible forward to one of the best 2-way centermen in the game & a playoff performer.”
Konecny gets an A as well, and Laughton keeps his. So there's your formal Flyers leadership group.
Good for Sean Couturier. He's proven that he's healthy and still a very good NHL player in the wake of his back surgeries, and he's set a very good example for the young players on the roster. Worthy choice for the C.
I have a pretty good interview coming up with an up and coming Flyers Prospect Alex Bump. I'm scheduling it a few hours before practice at MetLife Stadium, that way I could bring you live coverage from MetLife on Friday for Flyers practice. Flyers fans are amazing
John Tortorella on Scott Laughton: "He's an important guy, he's well respected, he's a Flyer. He cares and it rubs off on people. But it is what it is, it is what it is, where we are at as an organization." #Flyers
The Flyers are the 5th best team in the Eastern Conference with 64 points, and the 10th best team in the entire league. Unreal coaching, this team is a well coached machine that competes. #Flyers https://t.co/EMU9VAVsh4

A compliment sandwich after the #Flyers’ 5-3 win against the Coyotes. https://t.co/ulnu02RvCx
Bored with football over? I suggest all Philly fans to start following the Flyers believe it or not. They are scrappy, they claw and fight their way back into games, they have heart, they have passion, they are well coached, and they are in a playoff spot. #Flyers
