Morgan Frost of the Philadelphia Flyers scored an early goal just 1:31 into the game against the Nashville Predators, putting the Flyers ahead 1-0. Frost's goal, his fourth of the season, came from an unusual angle as he lifted the puck from behind the net and it deflected off the back of Predators' goaltender Saros and into the net. Bobby Brink, with his tenth assist, and Owen Tippett, with his ninth, assisted on the goal. Later in the game, Frost was involved in another point as he tied up a faceoff leading to Sean Couturier's goal on a power play, putting the Flyers up 2-1. The match saw Frost taking a hard hit to the head by Yakov Trenin of the Predators, which resulted in Trenin receiving a two-minute penalty for an illegal check and a major penalty that was under review, eventually leading to a game misconduct. Frost had to leave the ice and head to the locker room, raising concerns about a possible concussion. However, he was able to return to the game shortly after. The game was tied 2-2 after two periods, with the Flyers outshooting the Predators 26-18.

Well that was quick. Morgan Frost scores off an odd bounce (he basically just popped the puck up in the air while behind the net), and it's 1-0. When it's going your way in hockey, it's REALLY going your way. And it is right now for the Flyers.
