John Tortorella said prior to the game he wouldn’t take anyone out for Olle Lycksell, unless there was an injury. Ryan Poehling has been weirdly scratched just ahead of warmups for tonight’s game and Lycksell will center the fourth line. #PHIvsARI | #LetsGoFlyers

Some serious over-passing from the Penguins that period, even for their standards. Down 1-0 after 1. All things considered, could have been worse. The score, I mean. Their performance was pretty bad.
End of the first period. #Bolts lead 1-0 on the Cirelli goal and outshot the Penguins 11-4 in the opening 20 minutes.
The Penguins once again find themselves down by a pretty big margin on the shot clock to Tampa (11-4). But this time, they're only down 1-0 instead of 2-0.
John Tortorella on if Olle Lycksell will play on this road trip: "I'm not changing the lineup, but I have no idea what happens after tomorrow's game. If we get an injury to a Forward, he goes in, but I'm not force feeding by any means." #Flyers
Flyers beat the Pens in overtime. That makes me happy.

John Tortorella on Samuel Ersson: "He's very confident. Each stop that comes his way, it's more like last year.". #Flyers
It would be inaccurate to say the Penguins reached a new low on special teams in Saturday’s loss to the Flyers. But this deserves dishonorable mention. More on the latest meltdown, with some interesting post-game comments ⬇️ https://t.co/hQ4xNXfVD0
With Scott Laughton’s goal, the #Flyers are tied for first in the league for shorthanded goals (6) with St. Louis and Dallas.

Penguins 1, Flyers 1 after two periods.
Travis Sanheim, 1-0 Penguins. Again, if you have been keeping track, the Flyers have already lost. #PHIvsPIT | #LetsGoFlyers https://t.co/pbQ6wcBYyH
Penguins score, just after I said they were playing like literal trash. Because of course they did. That said, it basically was a Flyers own goal. Fantastic deflection by Sanheim, just for the wrong team.
Penguins, 1-0. Really
I don't even think the Flyers are playing that good -- there's a reason why they still haven't scored yet. But the Penguins look like literal trash.
That first period was a snooze. Tons of icings from both teams, just a lot of choppy play. Seemed like the Penguins did start to find their footing a bit in transition over the final few minutes, but the Flyers got the better of the chances on the whole.
Flyers and Penguins are scoreless at first intermission. Flyers blocked eight shots. Cam York had three of them.
A veritable offensive rampage during the final few minutes bloated the Penguins' shot total for the first period to four. Somehow, it's still 0-0 with the Flyers.
