Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett did not practice on October 29th but there is a chance he will be in the lineup for their game against the Boston Bruins on October 30th. Panthers coach Paul Maurice stated that Bennett had been feeling good and had been skating, but his status will be determined after further evaluation. After leaving the game on October 30th with a lower-body injury, Bennett was seen walking around, which is encouraging. However, his condition will not be known until the following day.
No real update from Paul Maurice on Sam Bennett or Oliver Ekman-Larsson. He said Bennett was walking around (he had been walking around since being hurt in the preseason); OEL was talking and looked OK before being pulled.
Maurice on Bennett: “We’ll look at him tomorrow. Fortunately we’ve got a couple days here. He was walking around after, but we won’t know until tomorrow.” OEL will also get looked at tomorrow.
Paul Maurice says Sam Bennett was "walking around after. We won't know until tomorrow."
Paul Maurice said that Sam Bennett will be checked out tomorrow after leaving tonight’s game with a lower-body injury. Said he was “walking around,” which is encouraging after the apparent ankle injury.
Maurice on Bennett: "Yeah, he's possible for tonight. We had two or three really good days with him. We kept him off the ice and got him back out. He feels very strong. We'll see how he comes back. He skated this morning, so we'll see how he comes back to the rink tonight."
Maurice on Bennett: “He felt good today. This was a planned not-skate today. He went hard off the ice. They pushed him real hard yesterday. We’ll see where he’s at tomorrow. If he feels good he’ll take the morning skate and we’ll make a decision.”
Paul Maurice said Sam Bennett did not practice today by design after extra session yesterday; still a chance he is in #FlaPanthers lineup at #bruins tomorrow.
