The Los Angeles Kings staged a huge comeback, erasing a 4-1 first-period deficit to defeat the Arizona Coyotes 5-4. Drew Doughty had a vintage performance, scoring twice including the game-winning goal. Anze Kopitar also contributed to the comeback, while Quinton Byfield had a strong game with one goal and one assist. In their next game against the Vegas Golden Knights, the Kings took an early lead with a goal from Alex Laferriere. Trevor Lewis added two more goals to give the Kings a 3-0 lead. However, the Knights fought back and the game went into overtime. The Knights eventually won the game in a shootout, extending their point streak.
