A heated game between the Colorado Avalanche (Avs) and the Los Angeles Kings (Kings) resulted in multiple fights and penalties. The first fight occurred between Logan O'Connor (LOC) of the Avs and Alex Laferriere of the Kings, after Pierre-Luc Dubois (PLD) clipped Fredrik Olofsson knee-to-knee. Both players were sent to the penalty box for fighting, along with Kurtis MacDermid and Tobias Bjornfoot of the Kings. Olofsson's teammates were upset with PLD's action, leading to a scrum and a line brawl. Despite being a rookie, Laferriere held his own against LOC. The game was described as feisty, with PLD receiving a penalty for sticking his knee out on Olofsson. The referees were seen reviewing the incident on an iPad.
LOC pulls Laferriere out of the scrum and tries to team him a lesson for taking a run at Fredrik Olofsson. Both go to the box for fighting and MacDermid gets 2 as well as Bjornfoot. #Avs #GoAvsGo @TheRinkColorado

Scrum ensues after PL Dubois clips an Avs player and a line brawl ensues. O'Connor on the Avs finds Alex Laferriere of all players to fight and ends up getting the worst of the 21-year-old. Leave it to the rookie to inject some life into the Kings.
This game is feisty. Dubois just stuck his knee out on Olofsson, and he's headed to the box. Now LOC and Lafrierre are fighting. I think they're reviewing the Dubois hit on the iPad right now.
