The Colorado Avalanche dominated the Philadelphia Flyers with a 3-0 lead early in the second period. Nathan MacKinnon scored on a breakaway, and the Avs continued to pressure the Flyers, outshooting them 12-5 in the first period. However, the Flyers managed to narrow the gap to 3-1 with a goal from Joel Farabee, assisted by Morgan Frost. Despite the Flyers' efforts, the Avalanche maintained their lead.
Morgan Frost (16) and Joel Farabee (16) with the goal, finally connecting, 3-1 Avalanche. #COLvsPHI | #LetsGoFlyers
Joel Farabee went to the net, Morgan Frost found him and Jack Johnson didn't quite get there in time. 3-1 #Avs
Farabee makes up for missing on that golden opportunity in the first and puts one home to get the Flyers back in it. Another great pass by Morgan Frost -- who continues to play really well -- to set it up. 3-1 now.
Not even a minute into the second period and the Avalanche are in control at 3-0. Nathan MacKinnon got behind the Flyers' defense and scored on a mini breakaway against Carter Hart.

Uh oh. Flyers let the one guy get behind their defense that you can't let get behind you -- Nathan MacKinnon -- and predictably he buries it just 43 seconds into the second. 3-0 Avalanche, and now things look dicey.
