In a pivotal match for the Pacific division title, the Vancouver Canucks secured a significant victory over the Vegas Golden Knights with a final score of 4-3. This win not only marks the Canucks' first regulation home win in franchise history against the Golden Knights but also propels them two points closer to clinching their first division title since 2013. Despite Vegas winning every draw in the final minutes of the game, pulling their goalie Logan Thompson for an extra attacker, and maintaining puck possession for the entirety of the last 2 minutes, they were unable to convert their possession into a dangerous attack, managing only one shot from distance with a single tipper. The Canucks' performance was highlighted as deserving, with the team being the better side for much of the night. The outcome of this game has implications for both teams' playoff positioning, with Vegas potentially facing a first-round showdown against Dallas. For the Canucks to secure the division crown, they need to go 2-2 in their remaining games to reach 108 points, while the Oilers would need to go 5-1 to finish ahead of them.
if #Canucks can go 2-2 rest of the way, they'll get to 108 points. Oilers would need to go 5-1 to finish ahead of them

Impressive win by the Canucks. Move two points closer to first division title since 2013. Vegas with the loss move closer to a possible first round showdown against Dallas
Big win, and well deserved for Canucks. They were the better team for much of the night.
Does this win over the Knights have special meaning to you? https://t.co/csORfhj6GQ
VGK won every single draw down the stretch, and there were loads of them, but never really got anything all that dangerous towards the net. One shot from distance with a single tipper isn't enough when you have the puck for the entirety of the last 2 minutes w/ he goalie out.
Final: Canucks 4, Golden Knights 3 Two straight regulation losses after a seven-game point streak. Once again fail to gain ground to clinch a playoff spot. Edmonton on Wednesday.

battled hard but it wasn't enough 4-3 final
#Canucks beat the Golden Knights. And now they become biggest Vegas fans on the planet as champs go into Edmonton on Wednesday
#Canucks outshooting Vegas (prior to the Golden Knights goalie being pulled) while holding a lead in the third period. Now *that's* impressive.
Logan Thompson on the bench. Extra attacker on for Vegas.
