The Calgary Flames have appointed Brad Larsen as an assistant coach. Larsen, who previously served as the head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2021 to 2023, brings nine years of NHL coaching experience to the Flames. He will be joining Ryan Huska's staff, replacing Marc Savard. Prior to his head coaching role, Larsen spent seven years as an assistant coach with the Blue Jackets. He also has experience coaching in the AHL and will be welcomed to #yyc.

After a much-needed season away from hockey, hearing that former #CBJ coach Brad Larsen is soon to resurface. Expect an announcement in the next few days. Larsen remained in Columbus after his firing by CBJ, but the family - along with the horses, of course - are moving soon.
