The Anaheim Ducks ended their nine-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Leo Carlsson scored the lone shootout goal, and John Gibson made 34 saves. The Chicago Blackhawks had a strong power play performance but lost 4-1 to the Minnesota Wild. The Buffalo Sabres defeated the Nashville Predators 3-1, with Victor Olofsson scoring a penalty-shot goal. The Sabres also outshot the Boston Bruins 49-31 but lost in a shootout. The Montreal Canadiens and the Washington Capitals secured shutout victories against the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers, respectively.
