The 6th annual Coop's Catch for Kids, a benefit fishing tournament organized by Tampa Bay Lightning's coach Jon Cooper, successfully raised around $200,000 for pediatric cancer research. The event, which saw participation from the entire Bolts team and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, aims to provide a joyful escape for children battling cancer. Since its inception, Jon Cooper has raised more than $750,000 towards the cause, with a total of $500K raised prior to this year's event. The tournament is part of Cooper's broader efforts to support pediatric cancer research and bring children fighting cancer, like 17-year-old Weston Hermann, into the extended family of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
