The book details a meeting of the Supreme Congregation of the Saint-Office on March 18, 1957, which documented the sexual activities of Abbé Pierre from 1955 to 1957, along with correspondence from American and Canadian cardinals warning about his behavior. The Vatican had instructed the Apostolic Nuncio in France to closely monitor Abbé Pierre's case, and a canon had reported 'immoral acts' committed by him in the United States. In response to these revelations, the Fondation Abbé Pierre has changed its name to Fondation pour le Logement des Défavorisés.
