A series of tornadoes struck Tallahassee, Florida, causing extensive damage and power outages across the city and Leon County. The severe weather event led to the closure of local campuses including Florida State and Florida A&M University. Over 66,000 residents were left without electricity as the storm damaged 11 substations and numerous power lines, including significant damage in the Railroad Square Art District.
