Two supermarkets in Florida, Aldi and Spruts, have stopped providing plastic bags for environmental reasons. This decision has sparked debate, with some customers finding it inconvenient and others supporting the move. In New Jersey, a similar ban on single-use plastic bags has led to increased plastic consumption for alternative bags, raising questions about the effectiveness of such measures in promoting environmental sustainability.

There are certain things people just like in society that we can generally agree aren't great, but the left loves to obsess over taking away. Like plastic bags. Plastic bags are convenient. I tried reusable bags for YEARS and it's just a constant hassle. Let people have bags.
A year or so before Borders closed, they tried a shaming campaign to convince customers not to ask for a plastic bag. We even had a sign on the counter lecturing them to be better people. Then we had to start saying, 'no,' when they asked for a bag. It was HUGELY unpopular.
So...they just stopped giving people plastic bags? https://t.co/LCmoH37nZi
