The 14th annual Dolphins Challenge Cancer event, held on Saturday, successfully brought together the South Florida community, including over 7,000 participants and more than 400 survivors, to raise millions of dollars for cancer research. Hundreds of South Floridians biked, ran, and walked, raising thousands of dollars for the cause. Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel sent off the runners, and Hal Habib, among others, participated in the bike rides. Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips, currently rehabilitating from a torn Achilles, provided an optimistic update on his recovery, describing it as 'awesome so far'. Phillips, unable to participate in the bike ride as usual, still showed his support with a wide smile alongside his friend Malachi Jenkins. The fundraiser once again highlighted the Miami Dolphins' commitment to cancer awareness and research, with the team and its members, including Dolphins LB David Long and more than 20 Dolphins players, participating in the event. The Dolphins Challenge Cancer has been recognized as the NFL's top fundraising event, further cementing the organization's larger vision towards fighting cancer, with a promise to fans for a record-breaking outcome.
