Iran’s Foreign Ministry on 13 June summoned Switzerland’s ambassador to Tehran, who heads the U.S. Interests Section, to deliver a formal protest over Israeli strikes on Iranian territory earlier in the day. In its demarche, Tehran condemned the attacks as an act of “aggression” and accused Washington of supporting the operation, asserting that the United States would bear “full responsibility for the dangerous consequences” of Israel’s actions, according to state-run and semi-official media. Iranian officials further warned the U.S. military against providing intelligence or logistical assistance to Israel, including help in countering any future Iranian retaliation. The Swiss envoy said the message would be transmitted to Washington immediately, Iranian reports added. Local outlets said the Israeli strikes targeted facilities at Natanz as well as unspecified military and residential sites. Neither casualty figures nor official U.S. or Swiss responses were available at the time of publication.
