During the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayramı), Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip resulted in high casualties. On the first day of the holiday, at least 31 to 33 Palestinians were reported killed in Israeli strikes and shelling across several areas of Gaza, according to medical and eyewitness sources. On the second day of Eid al-Adha, Israeli attacks continued, with reports indicating that at least 50 to 65 Palestinians were killed and around 100 others wounded in airstrikes and gunfire in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Gaza City. Among the dead were children, including six killed in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, where a residential building was hit. Several attacks targeted residential buildings, tents sheltering displaced persons, and aid distribution centers. At least six people were killed near an aid distribution center in Rafah. Buildings in Han Yunus were also destroyed. Over the 48-hour period covering the first two days of Eid al-Adha, hospital and health ministry sources in Gaza reported nearly 100 Palestinians killed and more than 300 wounded. Aid organizations and local authorities highlighted the dangers faced by civilians near humanitarian aid distribution points, with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) halting aid distribution due to security concerns. Israeli authorities restricted aid access to the hours between 06:00 and 18:00. Since the start of the war, over 54,600 Palestinians have been reported killed. In Turkey, the Eid holiday period saw a high number of traffic accidents. On the day before Eid (arife günü), 863 traffic accidents were recorded, resulting in 10 fatalities and 1,319 injuries. On the first day of Eid, 692 traffic accidents occurred, causing 7 deaths and 1,128 injuries. According to the Interior Ministry, over 2.2 million vehicles used highways on the first day, and more than 12,000 drivers were cited for speed and radar violations.
